Welcome

James Simon has been sculpting for over twenty years, and his work can be found worldwide. His sculptures speak to a diverse population and range from small desk-top pieces to large public art commissions. He works in a variety of mediums, including concrete, bronze, marble, and granite.

In the concrete medium, James Simon can create a variety of rich, stone-like surfaces that can also be inlaid with mosaic tiles or colored glass. The sculptures are durable, weather resistant and low maintenance.

Working with developers and architects, Simon first creates scale models to work out the appropriate sculpture designs. The sculptures are then modeled in clay. Plaster molds are then prepared for duplicating the sculptures in the chosen media.

“Again and again, James has been able to successfully integrate the history of a community with its present circumstances to create art that is relevant, relatable, and remarkable.”

John Fetterman - Mayor, Braddock Pa

James Simon’s dynamic and fun sculptures define and create unique spaces, entryways, seating areas, and facades.
