Luis Castellanos Valui- A Painter from Mexico

For the summer of 2011 we invited renowned Mexican Painter Luis Castellanos Velui to paint one of his works on the "Association Of The Deaf" clubs wall at 200 Gist Street.It was a great collaboration with the folks from the deaf club. They looked through Luis's portfolio to give him an idea of what they like, and then they requested sign language imagery in the painting.So there is some signing in there! Luis also gave a wonderful lecture at the University of Pittsburgh and had a well received show of his oils and watercolors at the Mendelson Gallery in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh.  Luis is based in Guadalajara Mexico, and his work can be found world wide, including prestigious public and private collections.
