Designed for the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry in Pittsburgh, this colorful 8’ x 12’ mosaic with some relief sculpture frames the counter where a diverse group of folks, from refugees to hungry locals, are assisted with their food needs. The first purpose of the project was to transform the pantry waiting room into a warm, imaginative atmosphere that would offer clients a comforting welcome. The second purpose was to create a donor wall that acknowledges the donors that have contributed to the pantry’s cause.
