"I was in awe of the magnitude of the sign!  What an exceptional signature piece for the Uptown Community" ~ Lisa Minor, Duquesne Light

The "Welcome To Uptown" sign is a 14'x 14' glass and tile mosaic that stands 25' tall. Located at a strategic gateway to Downtown Pittsburgh. This public art signage is part of Uptown communities revitalization vision that brings new vibrancy and life to an abandoned corridor.

The tree symbol embraces the Uptown's residential and development visions/goals on many levels, including a clean, safe and green neighborhood, green technologies, community involvement, and the importance of high-quality public art..
